Beef jerky & old fashions
Starting today and for the following 4 weeks, we’ll have available at ABC during Nique’s Shifts (online calendar coming soon) the creation of @drinkinhand and @queensmeat - Nique has created 3 different old fashions and paired them with different beef jerky from our Friends over at Queens Meat
They are as follows:
HOUSE OLD FASHIONED
I know it, you know it, and we all love it. The cocktail that arguably started it all. My take on such a classic utilizes a blend of a few of my favourite bourbons, rich Demerara syrup and homemade bitters. Pairing it with original beef jerky provided by Queens Meats. Salty n’ smoky along side liquid gold that we all just might want tobogganing down our throats. Feel free to ask for your drink smoked or, just keep it as is. Sip it your way.
BLENDED BOURBON: Rich/ velvety/ Semi-sweet
DAH ISLAND OLD FASHIONED
A smooth but tropically stiff take on its original counterpart to remind you of those days by the beach absorbing the sultry air, all the while being sip worthy of those colder evenings. Paired with peppered jerky to give your rum a bit of a punch.
RUM: Tropical/ silky/ vibrant/ lush
MEZCAL OLD FASHIONED
For the Agave, and Old Fashioned lovers who like a bit of smoke but not to heavy on it. This one’s for you. An earthy, dangerously soft to the tongue staunch sipper with a bit of lime saline solution adding to all the funky flavors you didn’t know your mouth was craving. Paired with teriyaki jerky.
MEZCAL: Earthy/ Smoky/ Smooth
