GRAVEL BIKE CLUB //

Now that we are open again every Tuesday, we’ve partnered with some of our regulars to organize a guided gravel bike ride. Gary (@nixxon99 ) will be there this coming Tuesday night around 5:45pm for a 6:00pm roll out, then back to ABC for a beer and hang out.

Rides will vary weekly depending on interest but, for example, for the first ride he plans a distance of 25 km. At a moderate average speed of 20 km/hr, it will take just over 1:15:00. Mostly flat with only 129 meters of elevation... just a slight uphill through Hume Park.

Learn how to Compost like a Pro with Terra Flora Soil Works from Chilliwack BC. Andrew Couzens, owner and soil pro, will come out and show us how we can make great compost with out household goods and even with a little help from Another Beer Co.

What you’ll learn at this workshop:

• What is BOKASHI

• How to make BOKASHI bran inoculant

• How to Compost with BOKASHI inoculant

• How to use finished BOKASHI as a fertilizer

Here at Another Beer Co. we love to garden and to support things that help the world with sustainability. We’d love to give you all some spent grain to make your own BOKASHI, and Andrew will show us how easy it is to do so.

• Samples from ABC and Locality Brewing

Locality Brewing will be out to chat about what they’re doing at their farm and how important the farm to table businesses are to the sustainability goals we all should have. Samples of their product will be available.

Terra Flora Soil Works will also have their hard to get composting materials on site for you to purchase if you like!
